PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure security of a device for which a key is used in the presence of possibility of unauthorized use of the key.SOLUTION: A key management device manages a key which is used to unlock a door for accessing money stored inside a money processing device capable of locking the door by a remote control operation. The key management device includes a key use monitoring part that monitors a brought out key and brings the money processing device into a locked state by the remote control operation so that the money cannot be taken out from the money processing device by using the key when a monitoring result meets predetermined conditions.
