PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a polylactic acid at lower cost and with higher productivity, and a molded product composed of the polylactic acid obtained by the producing method.SOLUTION: In a method of producing a polylactic acid, a polylactic acid prepolymer including a lactic acid oligomer having the rate of terminal carboxyl groups of more than 80 mol%, and a polyisocyanate compound are reacted with each other in the presence of an amidation catalyst, in the absence of a solvent, and the water concentration of the polylactic acid prepolymer being adjusted in 1-300 ppm. |
