PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which: takes in floating objects, such as spilled oil, blue-green algae, scum and trash, floating on a water surface onto a floating object recovery boat incorporating a suction pump; and recovers the floating object with a separation tank.SOLUTION: In a self-propelled floating object recovery boat where a floating object recovery pump device 50 which incorporates a through-flow pump having an impeller with a multi-blade configuration is set in and integrated with a boat 58, an almost horizontal partition plate 21 is installed under a water surface of a pump suction passage across a passage width in a predetermined length upstream from an immediate front portion of the impeller so that a flow in the pump suction passage is cross-sectionally divided into a surface side flow with the floating object floating thereon and a bottom side flow. Thus, the floating object can be carried by a profluent and stable flow in a surface side passage and smoothly taken into a pump suction port. The floating object is then exclusively recovered using a difference in specific gravity in a floating object separation tank 82 connected to a discharge port. |
