PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information extraction device in which a calculation time is shortened so that an important image sample can be extracted.SOLUTION: A sampling parameter according to a reference section of input image string is set; a plurality of image samples are extracted from the image string on the basis of the set sampling parameter. Accordingly, an evaluation value of the extracted image sample is calculated, and by using the calculated evaluation value, a sampling density distribution of a reference section different from the reference section of the extracted image sample is calculated. When setting a sampling parameter, a sampling parameter in the reference section is set by using the sampling density distribution. |
