The present invention relates to HSP90 inhibiting compounds consisting of the formula (I)wherein X is O; Ris -L-R; Ris selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl; Rand Rare selected from the group defined in claim 1 of the invention; Ris hydrogen; Rand Rare both hydrogen; Ris selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, amino and hydroxy; L is (-CRR-); n is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; Rand Rare both independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, amino and hydroxy, (C)alkyl and hydroxy(C)alkyl. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods of using said compounds.
