The lighting device has a base body (1) and a light source (5), where the light source is connected with the base body in a light-conducting manner. The base body has two sections (2,3) of different composition, where the sections of different optical polarity, particularly scattering- or absorption property, are connected to each other in a firm manner. The sections with different scattering properties are provided with a base material with the added scattering particles in the different degrees of filling. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a lighting device.
