[Problem] To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection method and ultrasonic array probe capable of easily detecting flaws near the surface of an object under examination. [Solution] This array probe (3) is provided with an array probe body (32) having multiple oscillators arranged in a straight line. The array probe (3) is provided with a vibration absorbing member (4) attached to an oscillator surface (33) to absorb vibration of the oscillator surface (33), and an attachment frame (5) for attaching the vibration absorbing member (4). The vibration absorbing member (4) is provided with an opening (41), and the width dimension of the opening (41) is smaller than the width dimension of the oscillator surface (33). By means of attaching to the oscillator surface (33) the vibration absorbing member (4) having an opening width dimension corresponding to the distance of the flaws to be detected from the surface of the object under examination, flaw echoes are not prone to be buried by surface echoes, making it easy to detect even flaws near the surface. |
