PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance transducer that has a wide frequency band and high transmission/reception sensitivity.SOLUTION: A capacitance transducer has cells and voltage applying means. The cells have: respective first electrodes 4 and 13; respective vibrating membranes 8 and 16 that include respective second electrodes 6 and 14 facing the first electrodes 4 and 13 across respective gaps; and a vibrating membrane support that supports the vibrating membranes 8 and 16. The voltage applying means applies voltage between the electrodes. The cells have: first cells 12 each including the vibrating membrane 8 with a first spring constant; and second cells 19 each including the vibrating membrane 16 with a second spring constant that is lower than the first spring constant. A distance between the first electrode 4 and the second electrode 6 in each first cell 12 is shorter than a distance between the first electrode 13 and the second electrode 14 in each second cell 19. |
