PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic controller (ECU, hereafter) which is connected to a plurality of sensor devices (slave devices, hereafter) with communication functions via a common communication line, and into which sensor signals from the respective slave devices are input via signal lines for each slave device, and identifies whether specific codes stored in the respective slave devices are the ones of slave devices connected to specific signal lines without making voltage of the signal lines out of a normal voltage range of the sensor signals.SOLUTION: A slave device superposes a signal with a predetermined frequency Fs to a sensor signal of a signal line (one of LS1-LS4) of a self device when a response request instruction including a specific code of the self device is received from the ECU. For each of specific codes (a)-(d) read from all the slave devices, the ECU sequentially transmits response request instructions including the specific codes to a communication line (each of times t2-t5), specifies a signal line on which the signal is superposed, and identifies that the specific code included in the instruction is a specific code of the slave device connected to the specified signal line. |
