PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an antioxidant suppressing oxidative damages to a living body caused by active oxygen, a free radical and the like which impair a flavor, a nutritional value and the like of foods, cause quality deterioration and also have adverse effects such as diseases, aging and the like on the living body; and a drink and a food to which the antioxidant is admixed.SOLUTION: A peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by Phe-Gln-Ser-Glu-Glu-Gln, Phe-Gln-Ser-Glu-Glu, Tyr-Leu-Lys-Thr-Val-Tyr-Gln-His-Gln, Met-His-Gln-Pro-His-Gln, Asp-Lys-Ile-His-Pro, Asp-Lys-His-Tyr or Ile-His, has an antioxidant effect even with a low dose. |
