PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for raising a washing machine capable of easily assuring a minimally necessary space for inspecting and cleaning a drainage pipe when inspecting and cleaning a drainage port of a waterproof pan on which the washing machine is placed and a drainage pipe connected to the drainage port, extremely easy to configure, and easy to work, and a device for raising the washing machine used for the method for raising the washing machine.SOLUTION: A method for rising a washing machine to a definite height for inspecting and cleaning a drainage port 12 and a drainage pipe 13 of a waterproof pan 11 on which the washing machine 15 is placed comprises the steps of: tilting the washing machine 15 to front on the waterproof pan 11; thereafter contacting a leg part 16 provided on an under surface of backward of the washing machine 15 onto a support base 2 provided at the tip end part of an operating handle 4 using the operating handle 4; and, while keeping its state, holding a support leg 3 provided on an under surface of the support base 2 vertically onto the waterproof pan 11 to keep a backward bottom part of the washing machine 15 to the definite height. |
