PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel processing apparatus and method, and a program which enable switching between a mode for scrolling a screen and a mode for switching content to be displayed on the screen through a simple touch operation without having to provide a particular key.SOLUTION: A touch panel processing apparatus performs switching between a scroll mode in which a picture displayed on a display unit is scrolled following a touch operation when a contact state by a touch operation accompanying directionality is detected by the touch panel, and a flick mode in which an operation guide having a plurality of functional blocks, each assigned with at least a content switching process, is displayed on the display unit and, based on information on a release position of the contact state by a touch operation, a process assigned to a functional block that includes the release position is executed, according to a predetermined touch operation onto the touch panel. |
