PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a washing machine from starting an operation unexpectedly due to an erroneous detection even when water or a detergent adheres to a touch panel display.SOLUTION: The operation display device for a washing machine includes: a touch panel display 38 having a liquid crystal panel 34 for displaying setting conditions and setting buttons for washing, rinsing, and dewatering and a transparent plate 31 being arranged to overlap the liquid crystal panel 34 and having a transparent electrode 33 on the back side, and performing an operation by touching the transparent plate 31 with one's finger; and a pressing operation button part 48 being provided separately from the touch panel display 38 and performing operation by being pressed with one's finger. The touch panel display 38 and the pressing operation button part 48 are provided on an operation display panel 25. A start button 54 for starting an operation of a washing machine is constituted in the pressing operation button part 48. Thus, it is possible to improve operability, prevent a malfunction such as an unintended starting of the operation of the washing machine, and enhance the safety. |
