A problem which is addressed by the present invention is alleviating desiccation in an intake port of an anode of a fuel cell stack when generating power arising from a current density of 1.4 A/cm2 or greater with a fuel cell system with a platinum catalyst which is included in the cathode-side electrode at a mass of 0.2 mg or less per cm2. To resolve this problem, at least one of the following is executed: control the temperature of a fuel cell stack to be 30-65°C; control the stoichiometric ratio of the cathode gas to be 1.0-1.5; control the exhaust pressure of the anode gas to be 100-250kPa; and/or control the stoichiometric ratio of the anode gas to be 1.25-5. |
