The present invention relates to a ringback tone information provision method and system, and provides a ringback tone information provision method for providing ringback tone information to a calling terminal during ringing out from the calling terminal to a called terminal, in a ringback tone information provision system in which the calling terminal and a ringback tone provision system are linked, wherein the ringback tone information provision method comprises: a first step of receiving an access request signal from the calling terminal; a second step of receiving a ringback tone send signal informing of the fact that a ringback tone has been sent from the ringback tone provision system to the calling terminal; a third step of transmitting, to the ringback tone provision system, a ringback tone information request signal requesting ringback tone information about the ringback tone sent to the calling terminal; a fourth step of receiving ringback tone information from the ringback tone provision system; and a fifth step of transmitting the received ringback tone information to the calling terminal. The present invention also provides the system in which the method is used.
