PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system for medical image registration, especially for making a medical image registration handling a relatively large scale medical image a background state.SOLUTION: A medical image processor generates a plurality of first areas from a first medical image according to prescribed reference, determines a plurality of second areas spatially corresponding to the plurality of first areas, calculates first space mappings showing spatial mappings between the plurality of first areas and the plurality of second areas in each correspondence relation, determines a plurality of second space mappings for converting the plurality of first areas onto a second medical image on the basis of matching among the plurality of first space mappings, and uses the plurality of second space mappings to execute registration between the first medical image and the second medical image. |
