PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a cycle for producing a casting mold.SOLUTION: A binder coated refractory is prepared by covering a surface of a refractory aggregate with a solid binder layer containing a solid phenol resin and a liquid phenol resin. Since the binder layer is formed of the solid phenol resin and the liquid phenol resin, a fusing and bonding point of the binder layer can be lowered and an addition condensation reaction of the phenol resin of the binder coated refractory can be started from a lower temperature. Thus, after the binder coated refractory is filled in a molding die, an addition condensation reaction of the phenol resin of the binder coated refractory can be started by heating for a short time.
