PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct blurring of an image which occurs in endoscopic imaging.SOLUTION: This method and system automatically and differentially detect linear motion artifacts caused by camera movement and local motion artifacts. The local motion artifacts may be caused, for example in endoscopic or other surgery, by the movement of surgical tools or the patient within the image field. After an image is automatically corrected for both the camera motion and the local motion, the image is displayed for observation. |
