PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint capable of effectively preventing a failure caused by intrusion of a foreign matter into a slide gap between a fixed shaft part and an engagement hole, and accumulation and solidification of the foreign matter by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A rotary joint 1 includes an O-ring 11 for sealing a slide gap G in which a fixed shaft part 8a is engaged with an engagement hole 7a formed on a housing member 7 while allowing movement of the slide gap G in an axial direction and a discharge hole 15 opened at the upstream side of the O-ring 11 in the slide gap G and communicating with the outside of the rotary joint 1. By discharging fluid in the slide gap G to the outside through the discharge hole 15, a foreign matter 20 in the slide gap G is made to flow out together with the fluid, so that a failure caused by intrusion of the foreign matter into the slide gap G and accumulation and solidification of the foreign matter can be effectively prevented by the simple structure. |
