BIOLOGICAL DEODORIZING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packed tower type biological deodorizing apparatus which can easily and surely wash a packed bed without depending on the experience and intuition of a maintenance worker.SOLUTION: A biological deodorizing apparatus includes a packed tower 11 in which a packed bed 12 packed with carriers supporting microorganisms is arranged. A water sprinkling part 14 is provided in the upper part of the packed tower 11. Water, which is sprinkled from the water sprinkling part 14 and led to the bottom through the packed bed 12, is circulated to the water sprinkling part 14 through a circulation passage 18 for water sprinkling provided with a water sprinkling pump 15. A gas to be treated is introduced through a gas-to-be-treated introduction passage 21 to below the packed bed 12. Bubbling air is supplied to below the packed bed 12 through a supply passage 23. A water level of the packed tower 11 is measured by a water level measuring means 25. A control means 28 controls deodorizing operation and washing operation by water level information measured by the water level measuring means 25 and a preset operation program.
