PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a failure such as destruction of an SPD (a surge protection element) due to a thunder current.SOLUTION: There is provided an IC tag 30 having an IC chip 31 for storing information concerning an SPD 10 and a detection coil 32 in which an application voltage to the IC chip 31 is induced. The IC tag 30 is disposed at a position in a periphery of a track such as a co-axial cable 21 with a thunder current flowing through, in which magnetic flux generated by the thunder current interlinks with the detection coil 32, and when the SPD 10 fails due to the thunder current, an over-voltage induced by the interlinkage of the magnetic flux to the detection coil 32 destroys the IC tag 30, resulting in disabling readout of the information concerning the SPD 10, thereby allowing detection of a failure. |
