PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably prevent an adhesive from running off to the outside, and improve workability, with a simple and economical configuration.SOLUTION: A resin-framed membrane electrode assembly 10 includes a stepped membrane electrode assembly 10a and a resin frame member 24. The stepped membrane electrode assembly 10a has a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18, a cathode electrode 20, and an anode electrode 22. A side of the stepped membrane electrode assembly 10a nearer to a stepped portion 23 and a side of the resin frame member 24 nearer to a step portion 25 are fixed to each other with an adhesive, and a recess 28 for storing the adhesive is provided in a boundary region between the stepped portion 23 and the step portion 25. |
