PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaped member which is capable of being manufactured in low cost and has excellent dimensional accuracy, excellent axial pressure crush characteristics and three-point bending characteristics, or excellent flexural rigidity and torsional stiffness, and is thus favorably applicable to an automobile constitution member.SOLUTION: A shaped member 20 includes a reinforcement member 35 joined at a welding portion provided in a ridge line section 28. A planar blank and the reinforcement member 35 are joined together at the welding portion, and are formed by bending so that the welding portion serves as the ridge line section 28.
