摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod type constant velocity joint that obtains a desired shape with high accuracy even if the outer peripheral surfaces of a plurality of rollers are simultaneously processed, and provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A roller 30 includes an outer peripheral rolling surface 32 molded by simultaneous processing in a state of contacting the end surfaces of a plurality of rollers 30 with each other; and a projection 35 projecting in an axial direction from the axial end of the outer peripheral rolling surface 32. The projection 35 has a projection end surface 35a contacting the end surfaces 33, 35 of adjacent rollers 30 during grinding of the outer peripheral rolling surface 32, and forms an axial gap B between the ends of the outer peripheral rolling surfaces 32 of adjacent rollers 30 in a state of being contacted with the projection end surface 35a. Further, the projection 35 has a gap D from and to a tool 100 during processing of the outer peripheral rolling surface 32.
