PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and program capable of efficiently performing printing, while preventing insufficiency of consumables used for printing during the printing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a remaining amount detection unit 600 that detects the remaining amount of consumables consumed in association with printing; a reading unit 606 that reads a script as an image; a printing unit 608 that prints the image read by the reading unit 606 by using the consumables in which the remaining amount is detected by the remaining amount detection unit 600; and a control unit 610, when the remaining amount detected by the remaining amount detection unit 600 is equal to or more than a threshold, controls to perform, in parallel, reading processing by the reading unit 606 and print processing of the script being read by the reading unit 606 by the printing unit 608. |
