On the basis of electrical device information pre-defined for each of a number of electrical devices (40), device identification codes for identifying the electrical devices (40) are generated. The need to provide the communication adaptor (30) with a storage device for storing the device identification codes for identifying the electrical devices (40) is obviated thereby. Therefore, the communication adaptor (30) is simpler in configuration, and network complexity is effectively avoided. Moreover, using the device identification codes, the electrical devices (40) that make up the network can be accurately identified. |
