PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair catcher which dispenses with the installation of a special structure in a drain trap equipped with the hair catcher, which enables the easy removal of captured hairs etc., and which can obtain a stable drainage capacity. SOLUTION: This hair catcher 10 provided in the drain trap comprises: a recessed water retention portion 20 for retaining inflow drainage; an upper drainage outflow portion 30 which is elongated from an upper portion of the water retention portion 20, and which brings about the outflow of the drainage overflowing from the water retention portion 20, while inhibiting the outflow of the hairs H1 in the drainage; and a drainage lead-in portion 40 which leads the drainage from a wash place W1 into the water retention portion 20. A lower portion of the water retention portion 20 is provided with a lower drainage outflow portion 22 which brings about the outflow of the drainage while inhibiting the outflow of the hairs H1 in the drainage.
