The present invention relates to a system and a method for arrival information notification service for safe return home by providing arrival information to family waiting for a person who is on the way home by bus so that the family can wait the person at ease. The present invention comprises a bus stop management system for collecting identification information and authentication information of a tag holder waiting for a bus at a bus stop; a control center which is connected to the bus stop management system by a network to receive the collected identification information and authentication information of the tag holder to calculate the estimated arrival time of a bus that the tag holder intends to get in from a departure bus stop to a destination bus stop using the information set in the service registration, to generate a short message including the bus that the tag holder intends to get in and the estimated arrival time, and to transmit the generated short message to a terminal number of a person who demands the set information in the service registration; and an information demander terminal for receiving the short message on the tag holder from the control center and outputting the short message to be identified by a user on a screen.
