PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article capable of displaying an image added to an image when not passed through a cover by observing the image through the cover. SOLUTION: In the article having a body and the cover covering at least a part of the body part, the cover or the body includes a patterned optically anisotropic layer having two or more areas each having different birefringence in a pattern shape, the cover includes a polarizing layer 1 and when the patterned optically anisotropic layer is viewed through the polarizing layer 1, the patterns in the areas each having different birefringence are visualized.
