摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond-coated tool exhibiting excellent chipping resistance and excellent wear resistance over use in a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the diamond-coated tool, a surface of a tool body constituted of WC-based cemented carbide or TiCN-based cermet is coated with a lower diamond film having film thickness of 1.5-30 μm formed of an alternate laminated layer of a coarse grain crystal layer and an amorphous layer and an upper diamond film having film thickness of 1.5-10 μm formed of an alternate laminated layer of a fine grain crystal layer and an amorphous layer. Film thickness of the coarse grain crystal layer at an upper side of the lower diamond film is formed thinner than the film thickness of the coarse grain crystal layer at a lower side of the lower diamond film. Further, film thickness of the fine grain crystal layer at a surface side of the upper diamond film is formed thinner than the film thickness of the fine grain crystal layer at a lower side of the upper diamond film.
