<p>There is disclosed an injector (1), a method and a dosing system for injecting cylinder lubrication oil in large diesel engine cylinders, e.g. in marine engines. A number of injectors are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the cylinder axis, and each injector includes an injector housing (25) and a nozzle tip (5) provided in continuation of the injector housing, the nozzle tip provided at its outer free end with several nozzle apertures (10) for delivering several lubricating oil jets (A, B, C, D) from each injector onto the cylinder wall (10). In order to perform even distribution of the lubricating oil even if the injectors are not evenly distributed along the periphery of the cylinder, the nozzle apertures are provided under different angles radially relative to a centre line (22) through the nozzle tip as well as axially relatively to a plane perpendicular to the centre line of the nozzle tip. Hereby, the centre (15) of the lubricating oil jets (A, B, C, D) will be provided on the cylinder wall at the same level above the injectors but at different areas of the periphery of the cylinder wall.</p> |
