The drive motor (2) has a stator (4) with two stator poles, and two electric field windings (32) that are carried on corresponding stator poles. A rotor (10) has a rotor shaft (9) and rotates between stator poles. A fan wheel (20) generates cooling air flow that enters stator, flows through stator and is blown out of stator. A non-magnetic guide portion filling intermediate pole space enables field windings and guide portion to conjointly delimit a cooling channel for cooling air flow, a support, and guide portion.
