PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processor configured to sufficiently reduce noise without causing an afterimage by appropriately controlling operation of 3DNR (three-dimensional noise reduction) when a 2:2 or 2:3 pull-down video source is acquired. SOLUTION: In the video processor, whether an acquired video source is a 2:2 or 2:3 pull-down source is determined. When the acquired video source is a pull-down source, the operation (effect) of 3DNR is appropriately controlled in accordance with a repetition rule of the same video frame in a video source peculiar to the pull-down source.
