A charging apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a bidirectional power conversion unit for converting AC power supplied from a power grid into a single DC power or converting the converted single DC power into multi-DC power; an energy storage unit for storing the single DC power converted by the bidirectional power conversion unit; a multi-DC power output unit for outputting the multi-DC power converted by the bidirectional power conversion unit to the outside; and a charging control unit for detecting a charging condition of the charging apparatus, controlling, according to the detected charging condition, the converted single DC power to be stored in the energy storage unit or the single DC power stored in the energy storage unit to be converted into the multi-DC power and then outputted through the multi-DC power output unit to the outside.
