<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of an output image by correcting displacement of a printing position in a tandem type color printer, ink jet printer, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A displacement amount storage section 2 stores an amount of displacement of a printing position for a print to be output. From the amount of displacement of the printing position, a resolution unit correction amount calculating section 3 obtains an amount of correction based on a resolution unit. From the amount of displacement of the printing position, a fine correction amount calculating section 4 calculates an amount of correction based on resolution finer than the resolution unit. An image processing section 100 creates printing data by use of the resolution unit correction amount calculating section 3.
