<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of achieving wet performance and dry performance at high levels simultaneously by improving the wet performance matching the increment of pattern edges by a dense configuration of blocks. <P>SOLUTION: At lease one shoulder region Rs is provided with outer blocks 8a each extending astride a ground contact edge TE and block groups G consisting of inner blocks 8b.
