PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vapor compression refrigerating cycle capable of improving reliability of a compressor and efficiency of the cycle by improving return performance of lubricating oil discharged from the compressor. SOLUTION: In the vapor compression refrigerating cycle 110, an oil storage chamber 111a for storing lubricating oil for a predetermined sliding part is formed within the compressor 111. When a difference (A-B) between suction enthalpy A of a refrigerant sucked by the compressor 111 and enthalpy B on a saturation vapor line at low pressure side pressure of the refrigerant is defined as ratio enthalpy X, a control part 120 executes ratio enthalpy control operation to make remaining ratio of lubricating oil in the oil storage chamber 111a falls into a predetermined range of remaining oil ratio by adjusting a valve opening of an expansion valve 113 so that the ratio enthalpy X is within a predetermined range during operation of the refrigerating cycle 110.
