1283000 Adhesive coated polyvinyl fluoride film DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 11 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 59162/70 Addition to 1282667 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions B5 and C3] An adhesive-coated cast polyvinyl fluoride film capable of being bonded to a substrate of Division B5 is produced by incompletely gelling a film of a solution or dispersion of polyvinyl fluoride deposited on a support by removal of solvent or dispersant from the solution or dispersion to a residual content of 0.4-0.8% by weight, coating the film on one side with a layer of adhesive which takes the form of a solution or dispersion of either or both of an after-chlorinated polyvinyl fluoride having a chlorine content of 5-27% by weight and a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl fluoride, and drying the coated film by evaporation of all solvent and/or dispersant. The adhesive can be applied by brush-coating, spraying. The support may be a glassplate or a polished grease-free metal plate or a continuous metal belt.
