Fluidized bed plant - for hot gas treatment of granular material

The flexible perforated or mesh floor dividing the lower inlet chamber for gases and the upper bed and gas outlet chamber is fixed to the side walls of the latter in such a way that it lies in a caternary curve free to flex along the edges so preventing stagnation due to wall effect and thus ensuring uniform processing over the whole width of the bed. Esp. the edges of the floor material are clamped by strips screwed to outward sloping side walls of the bed chamber.
