The present invention relates to a videophone system comprising a black box function. The videophone system of the present invention includes: a door calling/monitoring device which acquires image data and voice data in front of the door by operating as a normal call mode when a visitor inputs a call signal and operating as a monitoring mode when the call signal is not inputted; and an indoor calling/monitoring device which encodes and stores the monitoring data of the image/voice data transmitted from the door calling/monitoring device in the monitoring mode, supplies the normal calling data of the image/voice data transmitted from the door calling/monitoring device in the normal call mode for a resident, and controls the calling between the visitor and the resident by transmitting voice information inputted by the resident to the door calling/monitoring device. According to the present invention, the videophone system enables a user to monitor the situation in front of the door of a house and meanwhile, enables video calling between the visitor and the resident without installing a CCTV and a DVR additionally.
