The tank (1) has an outer casing (2) with an inner area (3) for receiving a liquid or a gaseous medium. Intermediate walls (6) are arranged in the inner area between two front sides of the casing. An auxiliary tank (7) is designed as a plastic container and arranged in the area, and has a covering (8) independent of the tank (1). The covering has an opening (10) that is matched with connection openings (11) in the casing. The auxiliary tank is arranged between the walls or one front sides in such a manner that its movement is stabilized in a longitudinal direction of the tank (1).
