PURPOSE: A functional cosmetic composition for anti-aging is provided to suppress MMP-1 biosynthesis and to promote biosynthesis of type 1 procollagen, thereby improving skin elasticity and anti-wrinkling effect. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an Ulva spp. seaweed hydrolysate comprises the steps of: extracting dried and pulverized Ulva spp. seaweed using hot water and preparing a soluble extract; adding ethyl alcohol to the soluble extract and precipitating polysaccharides and proteins; filtering and centrifuging the soluble extract to collect the precipitate; selectively collecting Ulva spp. Seaweed-containing polysaccharides; dispersing the polysaccharides in a volatile acid solution and filtering to obtain an Ulva spp. seaweed hydrolysate; and removing acid and solvents from the Ulva spp. seaweed hydrolysate. A cosmetic composition contains 0.001-30.0 wt% of the Ulva spp. seaweed hydrolysate as an active ingredient, containing 1.0 % of glucoronic acid. |
