<p>An image processing apparatus includes a color conversion unit to perform color conversion based on an input instruction by using a given color matching profile, and a display unit configured to display a message. In the case where a color difference between the image on which color conversion has been performed by using a first color matching profile and the image on which color conversion has been performed by using a second color matching profile is less than a color matching threshold value S1405, the message S1408 indicates that the colour conversion has little effect on the vividness of the image. The second colour matching profile may be selected by the user from a list of various preset profiles. Preferably, the image is displayed emphasizing a region of the image where the colour difference between using a first and second profile is less than the threshold. Optionally, the system also allows further colour, contrast or brightness adjustment.</p> |
