PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an insufficiently cleaned can body, and to sufficiently provide the cleaned can body. SOLUTION: A can cleaner 10 is for cleaning the can body 90 formed by a molding process, prior to a coating process. The can cleaner 10 comprises: conveyance paths 11, 12 and 13 which convey the can body 90 in the inverted state directing an opening part 91 downward; sprayers 21 and 31 which spray a cleaning treatment liquid composed of a chemical liquid or pure water to the can body 90 carried on the conveyance paths; can body recovery parts 50, 60 and 70 which drop the can body 90 not in the inverted state, from above the conveyance paths 11, 12 and 13 and recover the can body 90; water quality measurement parts 61 and 71 which measure the water quality of the cleaning treatment liquid accumulated inside the can body 90 recovered by the can body recovery parts; and a removal control part 80 which removes the can bodies 90 arranged around the can body 90 with the internally accumulated cleaning treatment liquid, before the coating process, according to the measurement results by the water quality measurement parts 61 and 71.
