<p>A tire comprising an outer circumferential tire tread (2), a carcass comprising a sulfur vulcanizable rubber composition and a tire innerliner (10) is disclosed. The innerliner (10) comprises a multi-layered composite (10A, 10B) comprising at least one of: (A) a film (10A) of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate polyester bonded to a layer of an elastomeric composition (10B), or (B) a film (10A) of nylon or of polyethylene terephthalate polyester sandwiched between two layers (10B) of an elastomeric composition, or (C) a layer (10A) of an elastomeric composition sandwiched between two films (10B) of nylon or of polyethylene terephthalate polyester, or (D) a layer (10B) of an elastomeric composition sandwiched between a film (10A) of nylon and a film of polyethylene terephthalate polyester. A RFL adhesive layer is positioned between the multi-layered composite (10A, 10B) and the tire carcass, the RFL adhesive comprising a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin/styrene-butadiene-vinylpyridine latex or a blend thereof with a styrene-butadiene rubber latex.</p> |
