Provided are a virtual machine management device, a virtual machine system, a virtual machine management method, and a program which efficiently manage a virtual machine. A virtual machine management device (20) comprises: a configuration information setting unit (102) which sets configuration information for establishing an operational environment, which carries out a predetermined function, on a virtual machine following operational input from a manager; a start-up script generation unit (106) which, following operational input from a manager, generates a start-up script to be implemented by a virtual machine in a virtualization system (30); a start-up script transmission unit (110) which transmits the start-up script generated by the start-up script generation unit (106) to the virtualization system; a configuration information transmission unit (112) which, in response to a request from the virtual machine which implemented the start-up script, transmits the configuration information set by the configuration information setting unit (102) to the virtual machine which made the request; and a version management unit which associates the configuration information set by the configuration information setting unit (102) to the version of the configuration information and archives the configuration information. |
