Medicated fish feed suitable for use in the prevention and treatment of bacterial fish diseases containing as the active antibacterial agent, a pyrimidine, or pyrazine sulfonamide potentiated with a compound represented by the formula WHEREIN R1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R2 is phenyl substituted with one or more of lower alkyl containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, lower alkoxy containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, methylenedioxy, amino, nitro, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy or halogen AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING BACTERIAL FISH DISEASES ARE DISCLOSED. |
