The present invention relates to a method for mass extraction of Platycodin D and, more particularly, to a method for mass extraction of Platycodin D, comprising the steps of: reaping one to four-year-old balloon flowers on February and March; washing and selecting the reaped balloon flowers, dividing the balloon flowers into roots and leaves, and then drying and pulverizing the roots and leaves by using firepower at a temperature of 50°C or lower; and extracting Platycodin D from the pulverized powder. According to the present invention, Platycodin D contained in the balloon flowers can be simply and economically obtained for a short time.
