A method for determining attention and a system adopting the same are described. The method for determining attention comprises the steps of: detecting photoplethysmograph (PPG), a galvanic skin response (GSR) signal and a photoplethysmography (SKT) signal from a subject; extracting power values from the GSR signal and the SKT signal, and a frequency component from the PPG signal; determining whether the extracted power values of the GSR signal and the SKT signal and the extracted frequency component increase or decrease; if the power values of the GSR signal and the SKT signal increase, determining the subject as attention; and if the frequency component of the PPG signal increase when the subject is determined as attention in the determination step, determining the subject as excitatory attention and, if the frequency component decreases, determining the subject as relaxing attention.
