The present invention relates to a surface light source device. The surface light source device according to the embodiment of the present invention includes: a printed circuit board; a light guide which is arranged on the upper side of the printed circuit board; a light source unit which is arranged on the inner side of the light guide on the printed circuit board; and a light shielding layer which is formed on the light guide and includes a light shielding pattern to increase a light leakage rate from the light source unit to a distant area.
